KRSS Heart Failure Abstract

This past summer (2018) I was a research student at St. Michael's Hospital as a part of the Keenan Research Summer Student Program (KRSS). I worked in the Cardiology department under the supervision of Dr. Gordon Moe and the Heart Failure Clinic. My project was looking at the correlation of two natriuretic peptides in heart failure patients taking Sacubitril/Valsartan. The main objective of the entire study is to determine a ratio comparing BNP to NT-proBNP depending on the dose given. My work will continue with creating a mixed model using the dose as a time covariate variable and lead to writing a manuscript. I look forward to sharing the future updates of this project on the site with you. If you would like more information please check out my abstract linked below. If you would like even more detail or have any further questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me and I would be more than happy to have a discussion with you.
